Council Tax.

Council Tax is a tax charged by your local government for the services that they provide such as rubbish collection and road maintenance. Typically you pay it 10 months out of the year followed by 2 months of no payments. The amount of Council Tax you pay is dependent on the value of your home and the area you live in.
